Southern Chester County has been Carmela’s home since 1989. She attended Assumption B.V.M. grade school and Avon Grove High School. During high school, Carmela worked at New Garden Aviation in Toughkenamon. That early work experience led to a career with FlightSafety International, the largest commercial aviation training company in the world.
Carmela’s experiences in a highly regulated industry, the impact of the September 11th terror attacks on that industry, and the loss of two beloved acquaintances to homicide inspired her to become involved in politics.
Carmela dedicated herself to years of study before entering the political arena. Following the example of our nation’s founders, she became familiar with the works which inspired America’s Constitutional Republic.
While pursuing her full-time career in aviation, Carmela earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Lancaster Bible College. After 20 years with her employer, she retired to attend Villanova Law School earning her Juris Doctorate and admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
