John voted for the forfeiture of firearms in the absence of all forms of due process in certain domestic violence cases (HB 2060). This means an abusive spouse could file for a PFA against your sister or daughter and she would be stripped of her means of self-defense without any due process. Not only would she have to pay for an attorney and fight for her rights to be restored, but she would also have to pay costs to the state for the storage of her firearms.
